What is the Luxembourg Trade
Register?
The
Trade Register in Luxembourg deals with company registration and it is called
the Registre de Commerce et des Societes. The main role of the Luxembourg Trade
Register is to keep a good communication between companies and the public and
also supervise the companies’ activities as response to the company law in
Luxembourg. The Luxembourg Registre de Commerce et des Societes is divided into
different sectors that deal with company registration, property legislation and
other matters regarding the registration procedure. All companies that are
established in Luxembourg must register with the Trade Register.
How can a company register with
the Luxembourg Trade Register?
Company
registration in Luxembourg begins with the submission of the articles of
association, company legal address, bank account and shareholders information.
All requested information must be registered with the Registre de Commerce et
des Societes. Only after the company registration in Luxembourg is complete a
company can begin its business activity. It is important that the founders are
aware of the fact that all changes must be mentioned in the Trade Register of
Luxembourg. These modifications can be made either by an electronic request or
by a personal visit. Whenever a different address is available or members are
replaced and the business structure is changes, the Luxembourg Trade Register
must take notification of the new information.
